Rift Datamining – May 16, 2018 Live/Prime patch

Long have Prime players awaited the May 16th patch. With it, content, balance, and a few other changes. This datamining report does not have any new game assets, but I’m here to fill you in on client-side database changes that have been made. These include Prime XP adjustments, titles, and an update to tooltip data for the balance pass!

Prime XP to level changes

NOTE: It is likely that these XP adjustments will NOT arrive with the May 16th patch due to a discrepancy with the leveling curve caused by the changes. The following is most likely going to change!

The XP required to level on Prime has been reduced for levels 30 through 50. Level 30-39 has seen a 5% reduction per level, while 40-50 has seen a 20% reduction per level. The full XP per level chart can be found on a dedicated google spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OD7F17UDneJvowFTvpx1bYYLo1Y0RGU64cESH7GaDCI/edit?usp=sharing – just check out the “xptolevel” tab. This spreadsheet also details the changes incoming to the damage modifiers on Prime. Expect to be doing much more damage around level 38 and onward.

Final Tooltip updates for the balance patch

Alongside this patch is a host of balance changes, and updates that clarify a number of tooltips, some of which were errors that did not reflect the actual implementation. New Titles

4 new titles have been datamined. 3 for the 2nd month Prime Challenges, and 1 for PTS testing Greenscale’s Blight for Rift Prime.

Prime Hunter (Fun Fact! This is the same title text provided by the “Greater Hunt Rift 6” achievement.)

Suffixes

The Omega testing suffix looks to be delivered in a mail reading “Ascended, we thank you so very much for taking the time to help test Greenscale’s Blight on the Omega server over the past few weeks. Here is a small token of our appreciation for your time and service, thank you!”

Next is a title reward for collecting all 110 of the “Confounding Contraptions” hidden around Mathosia.

New Icons

I’ve been holding out. There were 5 new icons patched to the PTS during the class balance testing that went on over on the PTS since the end of April. These icons appeared in the May 5th PTS patch.
